Meet Des, short for Desmonde - a chubby, mousy person who enjoys reading, walking in the countryside, and getting absolutely fucking blazed every weekend.
Des coasts through life in a dinky house-for-rent in a dreary city. The weekday routine is rarely broken.
Wake up, get clean, dress in modest flannel and jeans. Tend the cashier at Telmann’s Market, scarf down a modest lunch in the middle of the shift. Return home in a beaten old mint-green mustang, just in time to start dinner or order takeout for the musicboxhead roomate Eddie and self. Veg out in front of the TV with Edd, or in the window with a good horror story, and curl up with pet cat Purrsephone. Head to bed at a reasonable hour and wash, rinse, repeat for Tuesday through Thursday.
To keep from going insane, Des and Edd like to take little roadtrips on the weekends. Some of their favorite times are mucking about in bigger cities about an hour’s drive away. Others include getting away from all that and camping out under the stars, bringing - of course - plenty of booze, food, and weed.
For those curious, Des and Eddie are just good friends. They tried at a relationship a handful of years back, but both decided they were meant to be best buds.
