Solumni are creatures with mysterious and varied origins.
Some say they are demons created by the devil himself to sow chaos on earth, others think they are the result of ancient warring humans experimenting with powers they could never hope to fully understand. No matter where you believe they came from, a few things about them are clear.
Each Solumnus looks slightly different. They are humanoid beings, but possess one or more animalistic aspects to their appearance. Things such as furry ears and tails of domestic animals are common finds. Rarer sorts will have features of wild animals, insects, aquatic creatures, and the like. A fact worth noting is that each Solumnus has a clearly identifiable binary sex - male or female.
Each Solumnus is bound to an item that connects them to this world. This item is typically called a Gate, sometimes a Totem. The item could be any smallish thing - a statuette, a brooch, a book, a coin. Usually they are related to the creature in some way - such as a rabbit-like Solumnus being bound to a piece of jewellery depicting a hare. Known Gates are usually from an older time, rather than something like a mechanical pencil or remote, but who knows?
Summoning a Solumnus is a matter of correctly activating their Gate. Sometimes it’s as simple as reading the book, or wearing the brooch; other Gates may require more specific interactions. Once summoned, the Solumnus forms an unbreakable bond to their Charge, the person who summoned them. A Solumnus is sworn to do their Charge’s bidding, no matter what.
It is again worth noting that a Solumnus may only be summoned by a person born with the same sex as it.
When a Solumnus is first summoned, they are quite frankly monstrous. Bulging eyes, sharp teeth, and wicked claws are common features accenting a nearly emaciated frame of skin, bone, and corded springy muscle. As the creature spends more time with their Charge, they change. Usually, this corresponds to their Charge’s tastes. Hard edges and menacing traits may become softer and cuter, or conversely even more frightening - though this is uncommon.
It is of vital importance to keep a Solumnus either alone, or with beings born of its own sex. In this situation, the Solumnus is as safe as a supernatural pet can be.
If aware of an oppositely-sexed human for more than a brief period of time, a Solumnus will enter a rage state - complete with a bestial physical transformation - and viciously assault the person. A Solumnus can and will kill in this state if not restrained by their Charge and ordered to stop. The effect is usually not triggered by non-human beings, but it is not an unknown occurrence. Oppositely-sexed Solumni vary wildly in their reactions to each other; it is best to keep them separate as well.
Questions welcome and encouraged! 8D

Anyway, he would prolly prefer some sort of semiauto but you can’t beat a pistol in a pinch.

This warmup started as Luke. :’D

I think Otrovi tries to form itself the same way a child tries to draw a figure.
It sees the parts - this is a knee, that is an elbow, there is a face - but something’s always a little off.
This is probably another reason it seeks out hosts to inhabit.
![“Just kidding” in regards to bodysnatcher [Otrovi] being the same thing as lil [demon boy]. I love the Otrovi idea, though, so I’ll be appropriating it to another word. Maybe Caspia or the same place Grinman’s from.
Have a Myrkky sketch in case I don’t get around to line-artin’ or coloring this.

![So I had an idea. What if [mister-cute-little-imp-boy] didn’t start out that way?
What if there existed a malevolent, parasitic demon comprised of little more than tar and bile and hellfire that preyed on humans to keep its rotting soul alive?
What if, when it chose its target and waited for a moment to strike, it came bubbling out of the dark into physical space? Jittering, heaving, dragging itself along, pin-drop silent, to the sleeping victim… What if it caught their face in long, bony fingers, pried open their mouth, forced its foul self inside?
What if the person started changing from the inside? Contorting into nearly impossible shapes as toxic slime pushed through too-small veins, jagged horns split scalp, long claws pierced fingertips?
What if Apo needs to go the fuck to sleep and stop creeping out followers at 5 AM?](http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m9nywydcyM1qgjhglo1_500.png)

This doodle is not the best, but there’s a few things I want to remember from it.
That, and I’m doing a reworked version right now.
I don’t know whether to name him Otrovi or Myrkky. They both mean poison in different languages (or so says google). Actually otrovi would be poisons, I think, and in the verb sense.
